We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world -- together. At Ford, we’re all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves?

The Ford Purchasing team adds critical value to the entire organization. • Develop, manage, and execute sourcing strategies, sometimes multiple tiers deep into the supply chain, to reduce cost and minimize risk.

What you'll do...

  • Lead and be accountable for cost reduction initiatives.

  • Grow the team knowledge and expertise in technology and industry trends, and empower the team to effectively manage their own commodity space.

  • Build executive-level relationships across the industry to communicate Ford’s point of view, drive issue resolution, and understand and influence key trends.

  • Focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring employees receive development and coaching necessary to realize full potential.

  • Champion continuous improvement activities (including bureaucracy/efficiency improvements).

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business/supply chain.

  • 10+ years of experience in Purchasing, Engineering, or Sales.

  • 2+ years of experience leading teams and managing people.

Even better, you may have...

  • Prior experience with electronics in the automotive or consumer electronics industries.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills with a demonstrated ability to build lasting and effective relationships across technical and business teams globally.

  • Highly effective communicator that can seamlessly transition from bottom-up details to concise, clear executive messaging.

  • Proactive and resourceful; comfortable navigating across an organization to obtain alignment and get things done.

  • A knack for negotiating, with a demonstrated ability to reaching closure on complex and ambiguous issues.

  • Ability to translate high-level strategy to tactical execution.

  • Strong business acumen across finance and operations.

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all of the above?
