Job Description

A manufacturing client in the Chicago, IL area is seeking to add a Manufacturing Engineer to their growing team. The Manufacturing Engineer would be working in a vehicle assembly plant based cross-functional team having the primary responsibility to manage the actions to improve current model quality. The Manufacturing Engineer also has responsibilities for evaluating the impact of engineering changes on Body Shop tooling and processes. A typical week in this role is made up of about 10% meetings in regards to quality issues, 25% fixing quality issues on the plant floor, 25% engineering change between trials on the floor and on the computer in addition to general launch and production issues. The Manufacturing Engineer is a single point of contact for Body Construction responsibilities. Additional responsibilities may also include include:

- Launch support for large-scale new model programs

- Launch lead on small-scale new model programs

- Production support for issue resolution

Skills and Requirements

BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology

 OR 0-6 years of experience

 Go-getter personality, self sufficient and eager to learn

 Desire to work in a manufacturing environment

 Statistical knowledge/competency Manufacturing environment experience

 Internship experience null
