Ford Motor Company L&D Curriculum Coordinator - Manufacturing in Dearborn, Michigan

What you'll do...

LMS, Instructor Portal, Course Catalog Administration:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the LMS, Instructor Portal, and Course Catalog, to maintain integrity and efficiency, including course setup, and content management.

  • Collaborate with instructional designers and team leads to upload and organize training courses and materials in the LMS, Instructor Portal, and Course Catalog.

  • Ensure the LMS, Instructor Portal, and Course Catalog is up to date with the latest training materials and resources.

Course Management:

  • Generate and analyze reports on age of training, training metrics and effectiveness of training to inform L&D strategies and improvements.

  • Work closely with team leads, instructional designers and subject matter experts to evaluate existing training, ensure relevance of content, and determine what maintenance, if any, is required.

  • Generate a list of training deliverables, on a quarterly basis, that will be continued, flagged for revision, or flagged for retirement within the LMS/Course Catalog.

  • Work closely with team leads, to identify training deliverables that will be worked by the overall curriculum team to revise / repurpose for re-deployment in the LMS / Course Catalog.

Process Design, Development and Maintenance of Standards:

  • Facilitate discussions and workshops to gather input on L&D standards and processes.

  • Design and streamline processes for the development, delivery, and evaluation of training programs.

  • Create and document learning and development standards, guidelines, and frameworks.

  • Ensure alignment of L&D initiatives with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

  • Provide training and resources to L&D team members and stakeholders on established standards and processes.

  • Act as a point of contact for inquiries related to L&D standards and processes.

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements in learning and development.

  • Continuously assess and improve L&D processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Information Technology, Organizational Development, or a related field.

  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in learning and development, with experience in LMS administration, or a related role within a learning and development context with a focus on standards, processes, or quality assurance.

Even better, you may have...

  • Relevant certifications in LMS management or e-learning (e.g., CPLP, ATD).

Skills…

  • Proficient in LMS platforms (e.g., Oracle HCM, Cornerstone OnDemand, Moodle, SAP SuccessFactors) and e-learning authoring tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Proficiency in instructional design principles and adult learning theories.

  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • A proactive problem-solver with a customer-centric approach and ability to be adaptable to changing business needs.

This position is a range of salary grades 5-8.
