Openings available for Crash Safety Engineer -- Structural Crashworthiness at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI: Responsible for the developing and analyzing the full vehicle structure to meet global regulatory requirements and public domain targets. Utilize FEA tools to guide the vehicle system and component design process, including design optimization. Need a detailed understanding of crash physics and structural components and the effects on full vehicle crash requirements. Support and coordinate physical testing, analysis of component and full vehicle test results, and root-cause analysis. Responsible to own issue tracking and closure through all engineering gateways from initial program through final engineering signoff.
