Description Robert Half has an excellent opportunity for a long-term contract / temporary to hire position for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk for a company in the Real Estate & Property industry. As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. This position requires people who have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of accounting and its principles, hands on, and the ability to think on your feet. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the De Witt, New York area and will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire position.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned

• Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

• Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis

• Provide customer service to internal business partners

• Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

• Assist with internal and external audits as needed

• Implement full-cycle A/P

• Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed Requirements - Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

• Strong familiarity with account reconciliation

• Enter Invoices experience

• Knowledge of journal entries

• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
