DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:Perform all tasks in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.Manage financial internal control processes across market to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Perform complex accounting activities to record, analyze, and monitor financial information. Consolidate, interpret and explain actual results to market management staff.Manage reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and prepare and review financial statements, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Company policies and procedures.Provide analytical support to sales and marketing for customer pricing and profitability analysis, commercial and municipal bids, and any market development projects. Update and maintain market pricing model per company policy.Provide the Regional Vice President with financial analysis to support sound and profitable business decisions.Provide accounting direction and analytical support to all departments within the market.Consolidate operating and financial projects for the development of short and long-term business.Manage credit and collection function within the market in an effort to maximize market cash-flow.Ensure division is compliant with company credit and stop service policies.Support and provide financial expertise to the Regional Vice President during the annual budget and interim forecasting process.Manage workflow, timeliness, and analytical review of all budget and forecast data. Explain variances to forecasts or budgets.Create, generate, and review reports used in monthly close, financial statements, and other financial information.Prepare schedules and journal entries as needed.Maintain positive relationships with Regional Vice President, market management team and corporate departments.Maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with employees, co-workers, and management.Other duties as assigned by management.REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:Possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting and auditing principles, practices, and regulations.Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial information.Strong business and financial acumen.Ability to professionally interact and communicate with the Regional Vice President, market management staff and other departments to accomplish goals in an effective manner.Strong organizational skills and time management skills with the ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced environment.Excellent problem solving, analytical, critical thinking and decision making skills.Possess professional and effective communications, and presentational skills.Computer skills; proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications; AS400, and Lotus Notes applications a plus.Process and results oriented with a commitment to organizational success.Ability to prioritize work effectively to manage multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines.Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and within a team environment.Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department or line of business.QUALIFICATIONS:Legally eligible to work in the United States.Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA a plus)Minimum 2 years cost analysis and financial presentation experience.Waste industry financial experience preferred.WORKING CONDITIONSOffice environment.Some travel required.This job description is intended to describe the general nature, complexity and level of work to be performed by employees assigned to this position, and is not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, dutie
