Position Summary
The Bonding Value Stream Leader is responsible for operational performance of Pre-Bond, Press Room and Rubber Test, the leadership of area team members across shifts, and execution of production schedules.
Essential Job Functions
Responsible for the achievement of daily business metrics including safety, quality, delivery and cost
Provide leadership and coaching to all team members and ensure effective communication within and across shifts
Create and execute department production schedule to meet delivery targets
Drive team engagement by being available to all team members and working together to remove barriers impeding efficiency in production
Collaborate with and provide guidance to all team members to ensure operational effectiveness across all shifts
Complete all performance management requirements and develop team members through fair, respectful and consistent leadership practices
Utilize Parker Lean Systems to drive a culture of continuous improvement by leading teams with lean initiatives, DBH, HPT’s, 5S and all continuous improvement activities.
Design and execute projects to support elimination of scrap and rework
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or related discipline or active pursuit of degree and equivalent experience
Working knowledge of industry processes and equipment along with knowledge of quality and material (MRP) systems and their application in a manufacturing environment
Ability to facilitate, support, and implement change within the organization.
Effective leadership skills to motivate employees build relationships and drive initiatives throughout the facility
Must be flexible to work extended hours to support the requirements of the business
Strong technical leader and problem solver with ability to handle multiple daily priorities to achieve results
Strong verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to work as part of a team in daily problem solving and new process/product introduction.
Ability to manage multiple, fluid priorities and proactively address business demands in a fast-paced environment
Able to communicate effectively with management, and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork
Understands and demonstrates comprehension of drawings and blueprints
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
1 -3 years related manufacturing experience and solid working knowledge of mechanical processes utilized in the manufacture of metal/rubber products.
Experience with production planning, scheduling and MRP
