Position : Mgr II - Consumer Sales

Location : DAYTON, OH

Job Purpose :

This position is responsible for managing, developing, and leading sales teams to achieve goals in sales, productivity, churn, and profitability. This position is also responsible for identifying performance, process, and product gaps and is held accountable for improving those metrics through data analysis and quality improvement initiatives. The Manager of Consumer Sales must have a thorough understanding of all products and services offered by the company with a strong knowledge base of current penetration rates, market trends, revenue targets, installation processes, and competitive analysis of other providers.

Essential Functions :

  • Responsible for the development and execution of sales metrics, more specifically to productivity, sales, close rates, and cost per sale

  • Responsible for the coaching and development of sales representatives to maximize individual contribution

  • Responsible for working with cross functional teams to execute on current promotional offers, follow-up on customer escalations, and implement solutions to provide an excellent customer experience

  • Provide feedback to Product and Marketing groups on messaging, pricing, and direct mailers to help the organization find the right messaging to attract customer

  • Assist in the creation and execution of detailed staffing plans

  • Manage day-to-day sales activities to increase productivity and ensure the highest level of customer service is present

  • Monitor the performance of the team; administer, document, and track performance management / discipline when necessary

  • Meet weekly with management to communicate sales strategy, update on results, assess opportunities and areas for improvement

  • Responsible for the penetration rates of surrounding areas around their stores location

  • Continued focus on resweep areas to increase current penetration results

  • Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, such as chambers of commerce, business associations, and community groups, to foster collaboration and mutual support

  • Develop and implement a community outreach plan to proactively engage with surrounding businesses, organizations, and residents

  • Analyze sales data and generate regular reports to evaluate team and individual performance, identify trends, and propose improvement

  • Monitor outbound dialing with a focus on customer acquisition, upgrading current customers, and up sell with a focus on maintaining or increasing revenue

  • Build trusting relationships, inspire and motivate internal and external members of the team to achieve team goals

  • Investigate industry best practices and define sales strategies to exceed

  • Set high performance standards for self and the organization, embodying the Company's values

Education :

Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Relevant Work Experience :

3 to 5 years in related field

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Experience in sales, call center and/or outbound sales

  • Experience in developing sales processes and managing to sales metrics

  • Coaching/supervisor experience

  • Previous sales experience required

  • Process improvement

  • Customer service

  • Project management

  • Strong customer orientation and negotiation skills

  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, communication and motivational skills

  • Demonstrated experience in performance management

  • Strong process improvement and data analysis skills

  • Innovative, assertive, team oriented, self-directed

  • Ability to manage new and constantly changing products, services, promotions, and procedures

  • Working knowledge of processes within the Company
