Position Overview Riverside Research and the IDS Business Unit are seeking a full time HVAC Engineer (Chilled Beam) in the Dayton, OH area. This position will focus on facility design, construction, and project management. Responsibilities Provide professional engineering oversight for all the customer's facility projects by gathering and documenting user requirements and integrating new concepts in secure workplace design Recommend optimal space planning and configuration, evaluate code compliance, review proposed layouts, and conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans Work cohesively with other engineers to integrate the mechanical and electrical elements into a final product that exceeds customer expectations ensuring that the integrated design meets the customer's goals, objectives, and security requirements Manage/support/coordinate programming, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of facilities Provide engineering support for modern office/laboratory cooling systems (Chilled beams, heat recovery & water sourced heat pumps) and new power management systems Evaluate cost estimates and occasionally provide estimated costs for proposed projects Other responsibilities include: Project Management & Project Schedules Design Reviews / Drawings, Specifications, Analysis, Submittals, Shop Drawings, Requirements Gathering and Documentation Concept Creation / Space and Layout Planning Code / Standards / Regulations Interpretation Secure Environment / Security Requirements Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI US Government Security Clearance Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related Min 8 years Facility engineering experience CAD experience Must be able to work in a fast -paced environment and adapt to challenging situations as they occur Desired Qualifications: Cross-functional engineering discipline knowledge (including electrical systems) a plus Performs a range of special projects related Mechanical Engineering project management Global Comp $113,400- $170,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
