GE Aerospace Manufacturing Manager - Production Supervisor (3rd Shift) in Dayton, Ohio

Job Description Summary

The Manufacturing Manager - Production Supervisor will provide direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives during 3rd shift hours. You will perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. You will make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

This role will be on-site only in Beavercreek, Ohio.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Direct the work activities of hourly skilled trade employees in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair aircraft engines

  • Facilitate the hourly workforce by setting clear expectations on production output, EHS compliance and quality workmanship

  • Responsible for daily workforce job allocations and shift support coordination

  • Develop project specific scopes of work, schedule and manage larger office complex maintenance and repair projects

  • Develop and maintain a positive and respectful work climate with all employees

  • Assure compliance with all methods to ensure top quality product

  • Responsible for the implementation and participation of all management initiative

  • Develop new solutions under guidance and / or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations

  • Specify needs and communicate about project approach and presents outcomes of research done

  • Work with cross functional teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Manufacturing/ Production Supervision, Technical, and/or Shop Operationsexperience)

  • At least 3 years of Manufacturing/ Production Supervision, Technical, and/or Shop Operationsexperience
