Centric Consulting, LLC Manager in Dayton, Ohio
Duties:
- Manage the execution and operations of various projects within the insurance industry team.
- Regularly engage with Senior Leadership, presenting monthly and quarterly updates on the project status and overall project health.
- Conduct client presentations and build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop thorough and compelling RFP responses to clients, conduct extensive research to understand client requirements, and align submissions with the organization's capabilities, expertise, and strategic goals.
- Play a key role in strategic planning and execution of practice management initiatives.
- Proactively lead internal initiatives for organizational growth.
- Actively contribute to the overall advancement and success of the practice by identifying opportunities for growth, innovation, and market expansion, and collaborate with leadership to implement strategies.
- Lead multiple teams, including mentoring, goal setting, and ensuring quality results.
- Engage in the entire software development lifecycle.
- Create integration components for various points such as Policy Renewal, Bulk Invoice, Payments, Claim Queries, CCC, Xactimate Assignment, and more.
- Develop and refine detailed specifications and application programs, applying expertise across all stages of application development.
- Align technical specifications with business requirements in collaboration with system architects, vendors, and business partners to design, develop, test, and maintain Guidewire software solutions.
- Assist in the development of Guidewire accelerators for addressing specific business processes, integration, or functional requirements.
- Design program logic adhering to specifications and development standards, including publishing WSI Web services, crafting plugins for external vendor service consumption, and coding various ClaimCenter entities, Queries, Events, Rules, and Messaging components.
- Perform full-stack development, maintain and modify programs in production to ensure responsiveness to user needs and manage error handling and code exceptions.
- Develop tier coding, business layer coding, interface and service development, along with creating stored procedures.
- Write comprehensive test cases, conduct integration, system, and regression testing, and implement GUnits for thorough unit testing and Continuous Integration.
- Build Test Automation Frameworks utilizing tools like Selenium and Cucumber. Embrace Agile practices through SCRUM methodology.
- Collaborate with account and sales teams, providing leadership throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
- Act as a liaison between US & India teams.
- Occasional travel to client locations for training sessions, client presentations, and project proposal finalization may be required up to 20% of the annual work time.
- This position reports to company headquarters in Dayton, Ohio and permits telecommuting from anywhere in the continental U.S.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
6 years of experience in the software industry.
Comprehensive understanding of Insurance concepts.
Expertise in Guidewire's Claim Center and Contact Manager modules.
Strong software engineering skills, including Java/Gosu development and web services integration.
Proficiency in Test Automation tools like Selenium, along with hands-on familiarity with JIRA, Splunk, and Postman.
Exposure to gathering business requirements, performing analysis, creating functional designs, and conducting feasibility studies.
Understanding of Agile methodology aimed at enhancing efficiency, transparency, and customer satisfaction in software development projects.
