Job Description:As a Manager of Distribution Engineering, you will collaborate with both internal and external customers to identify their power requirements and design projects that meet these needs safely, reliably, and cost-effectively. Main Responsibilities: Lead and supervise the Distribution Engineering, Joint Use, Pricing, and Invoicing teams. Provide technical support to various internal departments, including Planning, Standards, Metering, Test Department, Network, Call Center, Major Accounts, Contractor, Customer Dispatch Operations, Systems Operating, and Line Department. Ensure customers receive safe, reliable, and cost-effective power solutions by taking ownership of customer interactions. Plan, schedule, and direct daily departmental activities within your area of accountability. Manage major and highly political projects, providing troubleshooting skills to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion. Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring financial targets are met. Advise senior management on technical issues and make recommendations as needed. Approve customer invoice amounts and ensure accurate billing. Participate in storm response efforts as required. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering-related field from an accredited college/university. 5-7 years of experience in electric distribution operations. Proven experience in leading and managing professional work groups. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required. Why Join AES?
