This position will act as a principal engineer to provide expertise and assist the Government in performing avionics system engineering in support of the B-2 Display Modernization (BDM) and sustainment efforts. This position will support the B-2 BDM program with subsystem definition, development, integration, all verification methods to include review of ICD, sustainment, modeling/simulation, test and evaluation, and airworthiness certification.ResponsibilitiesPerform analyses in support of the DMS system development and testingAssist with analyses for system threat analysis, computer sub-systems, avionics interfaces, and system performanceUnderstand Acquisition Engineering ProcessesHelp establish engineering processes such as a Configuration Change Boards (CCBs) and Engineering Technical Review Boards (ETRBs)Develop critical acquisition proposal documents (IMP, SOW, Meeting Matrix, SRD/PRD)Develop detailed System RequirementProvide support for:Define clear goals and execution path for all assigned projects.Gain deep understanding of client's business model and current priorities.Work continually with operational customers to capture and validate measurable and achievable requirements.Specify measures of effectiveness and performance and target values. Verify level of achievement.Perform objective market research, analysis of alternatives, and trade-off analysis to identify optimum solutions.Prepare and present concise briefings to laymen, experts, decision authorities, leaders, and/or workers as required.Assist project manager to design, develop, and/or implement solution if/as directed.Develop strategies for focusing market research and trade-off analysis of solution components.Perform value chain analysis of client's enterprise.Apply objective measures of value-delivered to establish client's baseline performance against stakeholder expectations and desires.Identify and characterize potential courses of action for improving current state in terms of talent management, process, policy, politics, economics, and technology.Apply objective predictive analysis to determine trade-offs and optimize selection of courses of action.Develop strategies, road-maps, and plans for implementing selected courses of actions.Education/QualificationsMust have an Active DoD Secret Clearance or above with the ability to maintainDegree or equivalent experience (explain) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering or other engineering or scientific domain.Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Cyber Security, or a related field. Master's degree in relevant field preferred.Technical skills and experience applicable to information system development or operations, talent management, and/or business operations.Experience designing and/or leading successful enterprise initiative(s) for "transformation," "change management," "evolution," or other quantum change of state.At least 10 years of relevant systems and avionics experience requiredBasic understanding of Cyber securityFTI is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
