Heat Treat Operator - Dayton, OH The Blueprint (Role Profile) Apex Tool Group in Dayton, OH is looking for a 2nd shift Heat Treat Operator to report to our Heat Treat Supervisor. The Build (Responsibilities) * Set-up and operate heat treat equipment and verify quality: o Heat-treat robots o Furnaces o Induction o Grit blasters o Hardness testers * Read and understand instructions and maintain documentation: o Shop order routings o HT recipe cards o Record process * Basic computer skills: o Maintain robot adjustments o Generate HT recipe cards for incoming orders * Physical requirements: o Able to lift and carry 40 lbs. o Work in high temperature environment o Wear proper PPE (hard hats with face shields etc.) * Clean and de-sludge high heat open bath furnaces The Toolbox (Qualifications) * Possess a general knowledge of heat treat operation: * Load and unload heat treat furnaces, baths and quench equipment * Understand methods of controlled heating and cooling * Understand hardening, tempering and annealing At Apex Tool Group (www.apextoolgroup.com), we build innovation.
