Description
We are on the lookout for a diligent Purchasing Specialist to be a part of our client's team in the Dayton, NJ area. The role is based in North Brunswick, New Jersey, 08902, United States. You will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process for various areas including corrugate, warehouse supplies, warehouse equipment, office supplies, and IT hardware needs. This role also involves contract negotiation and exploring the best practices in an ERP environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the procurement process for corrugate, warehouse supplies, warehouse equipment, office supplies, and IT hardware needs.
• Execute RFPs and negotiate contracts to ensure aggressive pricing.
• Utilize your ERP knowledge to streamline procurement processes and improve efficiency.
• Expand your responsibilities as you grow into the role, with the potential to lead the growth of a department.
• Leverage your strong systems/technical skills to manage Microsoft Dynamics D365 ERP and products, Advanced Excel, Salesforce, and Warehouse Management Systems applications.
• Play an active role in buying processes to ensure smooth operations.
• Facilitate efficient accounting functions and manage accounts payable.
• Utilize your Chef and Epicor skills to enhance ERP solutions.
• Maintain clear and effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
• Apply your knowledge in Enterprise Resource Planning and About Time to ensure timely and efficient procurement processes.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Specialist.
• Proficient in chef skills with excellent understanding of diverse cooking techniques.
• Solid knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and strategies.
• Experience with Epicor software is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with various ERP solutions to streamline and integrate business functions.
• Proficient with the 'About Time' software for workflow management.
• Strong understanding of accounting functions and principles.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and systems.
• Extensive knowledge of buying processes in wholesale distribution.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
