Hilton Darwin is hiring for a Senior Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role:

As the Senior F&B Supervisor you will be responsible for managing the performance of the Food and Beverage team, by acting as a coach, mentor and leader and supporting them with daily activities while ensuring brand service standards are met to the highest quality. Specifically, you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Monitor and review all costs (including payroll) for the restaurant & bar. Implement initiatives as required to ensure these costs are within budget
• Oversee monthly stock takes and maintain records of stock levels
• Assist to maximise the revenue potential of the restaurant & bar (driving revenue generating initiatives working in conjunction with the Hotel’s Sales and Marketing team)
• Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget
• Ensure that the appearance and condition of the restaurant is constantly at its best. Monitor daily and ensure that housekeeping or engineering requirements are managed as timely and cost effectively as possible
• Plan menus in consultation with chefs
• Plan and organise special functions in the F&B outlets of Hilton Darwin
• Participate in service and take orders as required
• Ensure your team are fully trained for service and committed to upselling
• Oversee & control the restaurant & bar operation (being present during key periods) ensuring all guests receive their requirements in a timely manner, according to Hilton Brand Standards
• Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep ensuring all areas (front and back of house) are hygienic and meet the WH&S criteria
• Ensure operation is in line with hotel standards of HACCP program (Hazard, Analysis, Critical Control Point)
• Ensure our guest’s expectations are surpassed on every occasion and should we fall short of achieving this, ensure that the guest has been contacted and a satisfactory outcome is reached
• Review and communicate Guest satisfaction and Quality Assurance results to your team members, and actively develop strategies in order to keep our Stay score above the benchmark
• Assist with greeting, seating, serving and farewelling of guests and support other team members carrying out their duties when required, ultimately ensuring guest satisfaction has been met / surpassed
• Take restaurant & bar reservations & create seating plans
• Manage the recruitment of new team members by conducting interviews
• Ensure all new team members are inducted and trained as per Hilton’s Brand Standards
• Implement a full training plan to develop all personnel to their full potential
• Ensure training records are kept updated and training completed within required timeframes
• Lead from the front, set a great example to your team and inspire great performance
• Ensure employees are well managed by having clear and personalised objectives and receive exceptional training
• Actively develop team members’ skills and performance through coaching and training
• Review performance on a regular and consistent basis. Ensure pulse checks, annual, mid-year and career conversations all take place during the required time frame

• A certification or relevant experience in hospitality
