We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Controller to join our team in Darien, Connecticut. The chosen candidate will play a critical role in managing our financial activities, including accounts receivable, payable, payroll, and month-end closing. You will also be expected to actively participate in planning, budgeting, and forecasting, while ensuring compliance with tax requirements. This role will require a high level of interaction with various internal departments and the CEO.

Responsibilities

• Execute all functions related to accounts receivable and accounts payable

• Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of payroll, monthly commissions, and bonuses

• Take the lead in managing working forecasts, models, and budgets in coordination with internal departments and the CEO

• Prepare detailed reports on the financial performance of the company and provide insightful recommendations

• Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls to protect assets

• Implement processes to review, assess, and optimize spending with an aim to increase EBITDA

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements

• Work closely with the accounting firm to prepare and file necessary tax documents

• Manage the internal finance team and ensure all financial tasks are performed efficiently

• Manage company budgets and investor initiatives.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a hands-on Controller level role with full oversight of AP/AR and Payroll

• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting/modeling

• Proficiency in Cost Management

• Knowledge of Tax Compliance Processes

• Proficiency in QuickBooks

• Degree in Accounting

• Must have their CPA
