Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Quality Control Technologist to join our Radiology team!

Part Time

Schedule:

Part Time, 20hrs/wk, flexible schedule, no holiday requirements. Per department needs.

:

  • Distribution, collection, addition & subtraction of radiation monitoring badges, monthly & quarterly.

  • Annual testing of radiation-producing machines and deficiency reporting (each are spread out, over the year – John Babu has list by the month of the year that they’re due).

  • Quarterly testing of CR reader and DR plates.

  • Quarterly testing of Radiology diagnostic monitors.

  • Physical in-service education on radiation physics & safety, by request, per department.

  • Annual testing of lead aprons.

  • The taking of Radiation Safety Committee minutes and pertinent document distribution.

  • Assisting breast surgeon with radioactive materials in OR.

  • Quarterly and annual summation of occupational doses per reports.

  • Distribution and filing of departmental & individual dose reports.

  • Providing safety training materials for electronic in-service training.

  • Assist Radiation safety officer with additional duties as needed

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent

  • Radiology School Diploma

  • Current ARRT cert

  • Experience/certification in either of the following of modalities: Nuclear Medicine, CT, Radiation Therapy, X-Ray

  • 2years+ in Radiology Quality Control
