TheHead Tellerrole is designed for those who are passionate about handling complex transactions and delivering high-quality service while working closely with our team to ensure smooth branch operations. While this role does not include supervisory responsibilities, theHead Tellermust lead by positive example and embody the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, professionalism, and service:
- Providing leadership and successfully promoting teamwork while coordinating the retail branch deposit service functions through consultation with the Branch Manager to ensure accurate, efficient Teller operations.
- Demonstrating a commitment to First National Bank Customer Service Standards while maintaining a helpful attitude in a fast-paced environment.
What will you be doing in this role?
TheHead Telleroversees the daily operations of the Teller team through a variety of administrative duties. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Executing the directives of the Branch Manager and other members of the Bank's management.
- Performing Teller duties.
- Opening new accounts, certificates of deposit, and other products offered by the Bank. Answering customer questions, providing account opening information, and ensuring that proper paperwork is completed and entered on the computer system.
- Ensuring Teller and Teller line compliance with regulatory and operational guidelines.
- Using senior knowledge to provide guidance for other Tellers who need assistance in conducting complex transactions or managing difficult customer issues.
- Enhancing branch operations by recommending changes for improvement in operations, ensuring neat appearance of facilities, maintaining inventory of supplies.
- Meeting or exceeding established goals including making referrals of products and services to expand customer relationships.
Requirements
What will you need?
- High school diploma or equivalency
- An advanced knowledge of relevant banking regulations, Teller procedures, and operational policies
- To be a well-organized, detail-oriented, problem solver who shows strong initiative and works quickly and accurately with minimal supervision
- To be a quick learner that is adaptable to change
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to understand and carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, give directions, and speak clearly
- Proficient in use of PC based products including Word, Outlook and Deposit Pro. Basic Excel skills
- Basic math skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions and decimals; calculate interest and account balances; locate routine mathematical errors; and count currency and coin
- Some flexibility to work outside of normal business hours
