Geisinger Intern - Youth Programs in Danville, Pennsylvania

Job Summary

Participate in experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a clinical or professional setting.

Job Duties

  • Assist with supporting the assigned area, gaining practical application experience, and expanding their knowledge and skills base.

  • Interns will have the opportunity to observe the workplace and gain industry knowledge, while also performing job-specific tasks to assist with operations.

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Position Details

Demonstrated superior communications skills including speaking, writing and listening.

Aptitude for engaging with the targeted population (teens 15-18 years of age)

Creativity, leadership and initiative to implement youth programs

Dependability and flexibility, hours may vary between 8am-5pm.

Appreciation for the value of volunteer service in enhancing life experiences and career exploration

Assist in scheduling, supervising, monitoring and mentoring youth program participants.

Assist in scheduling and facilitating orientation, weekly schedules, and educational workshops.

Assist in developing program evaluation and feedback measurement tools

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required)
