Summary:

oMaintains a safe, clean and secure environment by performing and inspecting assigned tasks in a timely and cost effective manner. Maintains clean, inspects and reports damaged equipment, stretchers, wheelchairs, cleaning carts, and floor care equipment. Provides leadership support and training to assigned staff.

Responsibilities:

o1. Maintains a safe and clean environment by performing daily rounds & inspections of 250,000 to 1 million sq. ft.

o2. Maintains, cleans, inspects and reports damaged equipment.

o3. Performs cleaning to interior of buildings.

o4. Inspects completed assignments to ensure work is done in accordance with procedure. Communicates with departments to ensure effectiveness of housekeeper.

o5. Coordinates and oversees all assigned tasks on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. May oversee up to 40 employees

o6. Provides leadership, support and training to the housekeeping staff & reassigns staff as needed.

o7. Provides input and makes recommendations for housekeeping staff reviews.

o8. Develops self motivated and directed environmental work team.

o9. Schedules, plans and implements special projects as needed.

o10. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

o11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT

Other Information:

oRequired: 3 years related experience in housekeeping.Computer systems, including Word and Excel, read write and understand English language.

Desired: Knowledge of Kronos; knowledge of Floor Care; bilingual a plus.

Working Conditions:

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Significant occupational risk

Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
