Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Tax Accountant. The Tax Accountant will work with financial and income tax statements, making sure that they comply with tax laws by filing their federal and state tax returns. This is the role for a deadline driven Tax Accountant with excellent attention to detail and organization.

• Guide management on the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws

• Stay informed on tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in detail oriented organizations, keeping up with detail oriented networks and reading detail oriented publications

• Recommend ways to improve profits and identify legal tax savings

• Develop solutions for complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings

• Organize any outsourced tax preparation work

• Make sure that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations

• Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company's tax database

• Put together accurate quarterly and annual tax reports Requirements - Exceptional time management skills preferred

• Excellent organizational skills

• Problem-solving and creative thinking skills

• 2+ years of public or corporate tax

• Detailed and have the ability work independently

• Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

• CPA highly preferred

• Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required
