Texas Instruments (TI) is looking for a Storage Infrastructure Engineer/Administrator to join our global team. Storage Infrastructure Engineers/Administrators are technology experts who have strong knowledge and understanding of various storage infrastructure components, ability to plan, architect and implement scalable and reliable storage solutions, enable automations to support various business critical needs of an organization.
In this role, you will support and manage various IT critical storage infrastructure, work on technology roadmaps, enable automation, plan, architect, document, implement technical solutions and train support teams to ensure critical infrastructure issues are addressed proactively. This role also provides opportunities to gain high visibility across several layers of our organization.
In this role you will:
Work as a storage technology expert, provision, manage and administer wide variety of storage infrastructure spread across various TI sites
Provide day to day operational support for critical storages of Manufacturing and Enterprise
Work on strategy and roadmap for next gen storage technologies and drive the migrations form current platforms
Connect with internal customers, understand the critical needs and architect the right technology solutions meeting customer requirements
Enable automation/self-service for repetitive administration and provisioning tasks using Orchestration, DevOps, scripting tools and storage management software.
Support following storage technologies
Hitachi SAN, GAD, NAS, HCP S3, HCSF, True copy and replication technologies
NetApp filers including Metro Cluster configurations
Dell Power scale Isilon NAS Storage, EMC Power Vault SAN, ECS S3 storage
PURE storage systems
Cisco SAN switches
Work on storage management tools like
Software Defined Storage Tools, Hitachi Ops Center, Hitachi Device manager, Hitachi Storage Navigator, Hitachi Hi-Track, Cisco NDFC, Cisco DCNM, PURE Storage management, NetApp Cluster Mode ONTAP, NetApp WFA, NetApp Unified manager, NetApp Active IQ, KIWI syslog, Trend AV scanner for storage, Samba Manager (KNUKS), Dell EMC Isilon Insight IQ, Dell EMC Isilon Data Replication technologies.
Analyze capacity and performance monitoring of end to end storage infrastructure components
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
Vendor coordination for any hardware/software related issues and update management.
Coordination with multiple TI site teams and other IT support teams/management
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related degree
4 years of related work experience.

Work closely with global teams spread across regions in other time zones
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills
Flexible to work across time zones for team meetings and critical operational needs
Experience in working with ITSM tools and following change management process
Technical Abilities
Solid hands-on experience in managing the following
Software Defined Storage
Hitachi SAN and NAS arrays
Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) S3 storages
Hitachi Ops Center, Hitachi Storage Navigator, Device manager
Cisco MDS SAN switches
Cisco NDFC and DCNM technologies
Creating and managing zones, zone sets and fabric configurations
PURE storage management
NetApp CDOT and 7 Mode clusters
NetApp Unified manager or NetApp Active IQ
Experience in Dell Power Scale Isilon, Power Vault DAS and ECS S3 storage is a plus
Strong skills in analyzing data, innovate through data driven insights for performance monitoring and capacity planning of storage environments
Strong understanding of user management, access management, CIFS, NFS, SMB and S3 protocols
Strong debugging, problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
Working knowledge of the I/O subsystem for VMWare and bare-metal Linux and Windows
Good skills in following technology areas
Operating System: UNIX, Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky), Windows
Scripting/Automation/Web: React, Python, PowerShell, Unix Shell.
Virtualization: VMWare, Hyper-V, vSAN
Containers: Docker, Kubernetes
Network Data Management Protocol, SNMP
Knowledge on computer hardware and computer networking fundamentals
