Kilby Labs, TI’s central research and development organization, is a global organization where a variety of engineers from multiple disciplines deliver semiconductor technologies and solutions for future large volume products at a fast moving pace.
In this position, you will participate in a research effort aimed to demonstrate an Optical Sensing System for LiDAR applications. The main focus of the research activity is the development of IR photodetectors in a standard Si CMOS process technology. Collaboration with analog circuit design and system engineering teams is expected and will provide the unique opportunity to gain insight into the entire spectrum of device, circuit and system definition and development.
As part of the Kilby Device Development team your work may include:
Understanding and optimizing the opto-electronic device performance based on TCAD simulations and Si experiments
Verifying and refining TCAD simulations based on measured device performance
Providing simulation and measurement data for PDK model generation

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Pursuing a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related degree
Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong semiconductor device physics background
Working knowledge of analog CMOS process technologies
Familiar with on-wafer probing and DC & RF measurement techniques
Optical measurement, and analog circuit design experience is plus
