American Airlines Dojo Hangar - a place where our teams come to receive coaching, learn new ways of working, and develop their technical excellence. In the Hangar we bring product leaders, engineers, airport staff, and customers together to collectively build the most customer-centric capabilities while improving how we work simultaneously - to rapidly deliver customer value faster than ever before. Teams work on their existing backlogs in highly focused sprints and spend most of their time pairing - but dedicated time is given to learning and experimentation. Our coaches are subject matter experts who immerse with the teams and provide active feedback.

  • We are looking for Product Coaches or experienced Product Managers / Product Owners who want to help hundreds of product leaders, executives, and teams to further develop their product mindset.

  • The role of a Product coach will be to help the enterprise with business agility while pulling from experience and bodies of knowledge such as product management, agile frameworks, and lean practices.

  • As a Product coach, you will leverage your extensive practical product management and agile expertise to solve real-world problems, guiding leaders and teams to understand, embrace, and evangelize new ways of working.

  • The Senior Product coach will also play an integral role in influencing product coaching strategies as well as partnering and mentoring other coaches to build a world-class coaching organization.

What you'll do

  • Serve as a transformation coach to senior leaders and product teams guiding them to better business agility

  • Bring your real-world product management and agile experience to the enablement organization to help build a viable community of product coaches and practitioners throughout the enterprise

  • Work with product leaders and teams throughout the enterprise to ensure relentless drive for customer focused outcomes using data to gather greater insights

  • Coach and mentor product teams to leverage appropriate principles such as product mindset, agile principles, human-centered design principles, engineering practices, and frameworks to deliver high value products and capabilities

  • Enable and inspire a collaborative and empowered culture to promote greater business agility

  • Design and develop facilitator-lead materials related to product and agile practices

  • Through coaching soft skills, build trust, evaluate team’s current practices /methodologies and recommend appropriate next steps to achieve greater business agility

  • Develop and influence learning strategies for product managers, product owners, and other product leaders

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field or equivalent work experience

  • 3 years of experience leading technology-powered products in a product manager or other product leader role

  • Skills and Knowledge of servant leadership, situation awareness and conflict resolution

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Demonstrable work experience in helping product leaders to create an environment conducive to supporting empowered product teams delivering great results

  • Experience in helping product leaders and senior leaders align priorities to the overall business goals and product strategies

  • Proven experience in building relationships with senior leaders across the organization to influence and inspire change
