Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant based in Dallas, Texas. The primary industry is Construction/Contractor and the role involves various accounting responsibilities with a specific focus on the ERP system, Costpoint.

Responsibilities:

• Play a key role in the accounting operations, including handling accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and general ledger reconciliations

• Use and maintain the ERP system, Costpoint, for efficient and accurate accounting tasks

• Develop and implement comprehensive documentation for accounting processes and procedures

• Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, providing ideas and suggestions for process improvements

• Conduct interviews and document the processes of different team members to ensure a thorough understanding and smooth execution of accounting tasks

• Generate, review, and post journal entries while maintaining accurate records

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliation and ensure all financial reports are prepared in a timely manner

• Utilize various software such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite for efficient data management and analysis

• Cooperate with team members to achieve the company's financial objectives and ensure the smooth functioning of the accounting department

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action to ensure timely payments and maintain customer relationships. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is essential.

• Demonstrated ability to work with General Ledger and Journal Entries.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience in Month End Close processes.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software is required.

• Prior experience in the Construction/Contractor industry is beneficial.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.

• Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment.
