Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Dallas, Texas
Description You will use your knowledge and skills to prepare and consolidate financial statements, analyze and reconcile accounts, analyze cash flow, build budgets and forecasts, prepare audits, and manage internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests Requirements - 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Balance sheets experience highly desired
Foundational knowledge in Financial Statement
General ledger experience
CPA experience preferred
