Senior Consultant – Data Center

Detailed Description

Netsync is looking for qualified individuals to fill the role of Senior Consultant, specializing in Data Center Networking. As a Senior Consultant, specific job responsibilities will vary by client engagement but will focus primarily on Cisco Data Center network solutions. A Senior Consultant is focused on delivering excellent customer service, while ensuring the clients objectives are realized through technology solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Netsync clients and Netsync project teams to identify business and technical requirements for data center services.

  • Develop data center strategies and solutions.

  • Perform data center readiness and current state assessments.

  • Develop data center designs based on current technological solutions provided by the manufacturer.

  • Implement and support data center network solutions for clients based on industry and Netsync best practices.

  • Provide knowledge transfer and detailed design/operational documentation to clients.

  • Provide quality assurance documentation and peer review on projects.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, technology partners, and internal teams.

  • Provide Tier 3 support.

Additional Duties:

  • Individual should be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Travel: Approximately 25%

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of four years of related data center network design/implementation experience, including:

  • Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)

  • Cisco Nexus

  • Cisco Nexus Dashboard

  • Cisco Tetration preferred

  • Routing Protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP

  • VMware NSX preferred

  • VMware vRealize Network Insights preferred

  • Microsoft Active Directory (AD), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), and Group Policies

  • Excellent verbal communications and written documentation skills

  • Excellent client management/resolution, problem solving, and debugging/troubleshooting skills.

Minimum Qualifications/Technical and Education Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of three years of related network administration and support.

  • Minimum of three years of related experience in data center environments, including: data center network engineering (hardware and software)

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional - Data Center

  • Additional Certifications in solutions provided by Cisco and VMware are a plus.
