We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to be a vital part of our clients Accounting team, ensuring that financial records are accurate and timely. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of accounting principles with Commercial Construction Industry experience.

responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable: Manage the entire accounts receivable process, including inputting billings into Sage300 and investigating any discrepancies in billing.

• Cash Management: Maintain and reconcile four cash management accounts regularly.

• Weekly Financial Reporting: Update the cash report on a weekly basis to ensure accurate financial tracking.

• Month-End Closing: Perform month-end closing tasks, including general ledger account analysis and reconciliation.

• Balance Sheet Management: Conduct balance sheet reconciliations post-month-end close and resolve any inconsistencies.

• Sage300 Administration: Set up new projects in Sage300, enter project estimates and contract amounts, and record commitments as needed.

• Financial Review and Adjustment: Review and analyze monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, depreciation of fixed assets, and accounts payable; make necessary journal entries.

• Payment Processing: Record and payments for debit/credit card transactions in Sage300 and manually escrow payments to accounts payable vendors.

• Payroll Accounting: Prepare payroll journal entries and allocate payroll costs to relevant projects based on employee timesheets.

• Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit quarterly and annual workers' compensation reports, as well as quarterly use and sales tax reports.

• 1099 Forms: Prepare and distribute annual 1099 forms to vendors.

• Lien Waivers: Prepare lien waivers as needed.

• Project Support: Assist project managers with financial reports and resolve any contract discrepancies.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Special Projects: Participate in various special projects and compile special reports as required.

qualifications:

Qualifications:

• A minimum of five years of relevant experience, preferably in commercial construction.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Extensive experience with Sage300 is required; familiarity with Procore and Bluebeam Software is beneficial.

• CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
