IBM Sales Engineer - West Coast in Dallas, Texas

Your Role and Responsibilities

SevOne is a part the newest startup software networking division within IBM. We are a network performance management for today, tomorrow & beyond, please join our team and help the world connect efficiently.

We are looking for a seasoned, hardworking, smart and over achieving Sales Engineer with proven experience and a passion for selling technology solutions to executives to join the IBM SevOne sales team. You will help with solution selling. You will be partnering with the sales team to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals.

Responsibilities will include:

  • You will serve as a consultative NPM (Network Performance Management) resource to Accounts

  • Deliver ongoing subject Matter Expertise in Sales Presentations

  • Augment and assist sales team in strategic opportunities as needed

  • Deliver demonstrations to new prospects as well as existing customers

  • Assist account teams with RFI / RFP responses

  • Assist in scoping, planning and implementation of POVs (Proof of Values).

  • Assist in scoping and planning of Services Engagements for PS Team

  • Drive feedback to product management for strategic feature requests as they relate to customer use cases.

  • Assist in continuation of developing new demo scenarios

You will bring these communication skills:

  • Strong Presenter and communicator

  • Capable of cross-selling products and services

  • Customer advocate

  • Understands and is sensitive to customer business requirements

This position can be located on the West Coast US.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong Pre-Sales Engineering experience with large enterprise or service provider companies

  • Knowledge of OSS/BSS space, specifically Network Performance Management

  • Familiarity with Linux

  • Understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, MPLS, & SNMP

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Familiarity with Data and Voice Network design

  • High degree of knowledge of networking with IP MPLS, Fiber, Ethernet, 4G/LTE, 5G

  • Knowledge of mobile wireless network design and service delivery

  • Experience with SD-WAN or SDN

  • Wireless Networking Experience

  • PHP or Python Scription
