Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Property Accountant in Dallas, Texas. The role primarily focuses on the real estate industry, requiring the suitable candidate to manage accounting functions for a portfolio of 20 buildings. The role will be primarily based on-site, offering a dynamic and active work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Yardi software for Accounts Payable (AP) Invoicing for our portfolio of 20 buildings

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of rent statements for tenants

• Manage and maintain Contracts & Certificates of Insurance (COI) for all properties

• Provide comprehensive support to Property Managers across all buildings in the portfolio

• Oversee accounting functions such as Account Coding, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accrual Accounting

• Conduct periodic auditing to ensure all financial transactions are accurate and compliant

• Utilize Yardi Property Management for effective property accounting.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in property accounting or a related field

• Proficiency in accounting software systems is required

• Demonstrable knowledge of account coding techniques

• Should be able to handle all basic accounting functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Previous auditing experience, particularly in property accounting, is a plus

• Expertise in Yardi and Yardi Property Management systems is highly desirable

• Must have a strong grasp of property accounting practices and principles
