Job Description:
The University of Texas at Dallas Libraries and Archives are seeking a collaborative and service-oriented candidate for the position of Metadata Librarian. This position manages and provides access to the government document collection in accordance with the Federal Depository Library Program ( FDLP ) and the collection policies of the UT Dallas Libraries. This position is a member of Metadata Services and reports to the Head of the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA -accredited institution; experience in working with an integrated library system, preferably ExLibris’ Alma; excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience working with an integrated library system, preferably ExLibris’ Alma.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Two years of cataloging experience in an academic library.
Experience working with government documents or knowledge of the Federal Depository Library Program.
Proficiency in batch-editing MARC records and experience working with MarcEdit.
Experience working with Alma and Primo.
