Triple C – The A&E Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer, proficient in Revit to develop and manage all aspects of technical design and specifications development. This position coordinates within a remote, virtual working environment with a team of architects, interior designers, civil engineers, subconsultants, and owners, providing expertise in the full-project cycle from design through construction, primarily within the healthcare market.
Mechanical Engineers at Triple C provide Mechanical Engineering services for all building types, including site development. This position requires significant knowledge of Mechanical Engineering concepts and optimization principles as well as interpretation and application of relevant building codes.
The Mechanical Engineer needs to have a proven track record in successfully interfacing with clients, designing and overseeing Mechanical systems and associated components of projects, and providing expertise in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
7 years’ minimum experience
P.E. License is required, LEED Certification is preferred
Knowledge of MEP and fire protection standards
Effective verbal and nonverbal skills with an ability to apply them in different situations
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
When necessary, travel to client meetings and job sites

Representative examples of responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Engineer (ME) you will be asked to generate all aspects of design and engineering to assure a quality product meeting the requirements of the contract are satisfied. The ME focuses on the design, modeling, and managing the production of the deliverables identified in the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). The ME will develop or contribute to the project WBS. Examples of these responsibilities are as follows:
Develop mechanical solutions
Revit modeling including coordination with architectural and other engineering disciplines
Production and/or redlines of Mechanical drawings
Mechanical schematic detail production
Mechanical site plan development
Conduct field surveys, including the use of LIDAR, under the direction of Project Manager
Generate narratives and redlines
Collaboration site updates of the model and prepare PDF drawing packages
Calculation development
Create estimates and schedules to complete projects
Create graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and a full set of Mechanical construction drawings
Verify and adhere to project scope and other contractual requirements
Attend team and client meetings
Design collaboration
Programming
Involvement in charrette preparation and execution
Perform quality assurance and quality control
Work cooperatively in a positive, professional manner with in-house design staff and subconsultant teams as well as with all involved MEP disciplines, interior designers, architects, subconsultants, owners, and clients
Participate in client interviews for business development when needed
Apply Mechanical engineering principles and concepts to the design of various commercial and government buildings
Knowledge of relevant building codes related to the design
Develop take offs and estimates with input from suppliers and manufacturers
Managing Mechanical design projects from start to finish with the support of the Project Manager
