Sabre Manager of Corporate Travel Operations in Dallas, Texas

The Manager of Corporate Travel Operations is responsible for overseeing the company's travel program, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and seamless travel experiences for employees. This role will manage day-to-day travel operations and develop strategies and solutions to optimize travel arrangements. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of corporate travel management and operations, and the ability to drive continuous improvements in travel services and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel Program Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of the corporate travel program, including booking and expense management.

  • Develop, implement, and enforce travel policies that align with company objectives and compliance requirements.

  • Monitor travel industry trends and identify opportunities for program improvements and cost savings.

  • Technology and Innovation:

  • Evaluate and implement travel management technologies to streamline operations and improve the traveler experience.

  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate travel systems with expense management and reporting tools.

  • Vendor and Supplier Management:

  • Ensure all company payments related to travel services are completed in an accurate and timely manner. (UATP, BTA, Amex (Virtual cards) etc.)

  • Manage relationships with travel vendors to ensure high service standards and adherence to contract terms.

  • Evaluate vendor performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

  • Operational Oversight:

  • Lead the travel operations team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

  • Ensure the smooth operation of travel booking processes, resolving issues, and addressing traveler concerns promptly.

  • Develop and maintain travel-related reports, analyzing data to optimize travel spending and operational efficiency.

  • Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with corporate travel policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including HR, finance, and department heads, to understand travel needs and provide solutions.

  • Communicate travel policy updates and provide training to employees on best practices and travel procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, preferred or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate travel management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of travel industry standards, best practices, and technology solutions.

  • Proven experience in vendor relationship building and contract management.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in travel management software and tools.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
