JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of Foundations Giving Campaigns plays a pivotal role within Baylor Scott & White Health Foundations, reporting directly to the Vice President of Donor Engagement & Experience. Responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of two critical system-wide initiatives, Give to Change and Grateful Giving, this role focuses on cultivating a robust culture of philanthropy throughout the organization. The Manager will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive, donor-centered fundraising strategies in collaboration with system leadership, ensuring alignment with campaign priorities and organizational pillars. Within the BSW employee giving program (Give to Change), they will foster employee and board engagement, serving as the primary liaison to executive sponsors and equip Foundation leads with the tools needed for effective campaign execution across North and Central Texas campuses. This role also oversees relationships with key stakeholders and vendors, manages comprehensive communication plans and ensures accurate campaign reporting and financial transparency.

This manager will also drive the strategic direction of the Foundation-wide Grateful Giving program. This involves partnering closely with the VP of Donor Engagement & Experience to develop and implement annual strategic plans aimed at cultivating a robust pipeline of grateful patient prospects to drive philanthropic support. They will engage clinicians, administrators and other stakeholders to foster a culture of gratitude, while also providing ongoing programmatic support and training for Foundation staff and physician cohorts. Through rigorous analysis of campaign performance and insights sharing with Foundation leadership and executives, the Manager will support the program vision through enhancements campaign strategies to maximize impact and donor engagement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Give to Change (70%)

Develop and implement robust, donor-focused and data-driven fundraising strategies in partnership with System leadership that drive campaign priorities and align with campaign pillars.

Drive significant employee engagement and fundraising efforts, fostering a strong culture of philanthropy among employees and board members.

Act as the primary liaison to Executive Sponsor for Leadership, Employee, and Board Giving campaigns, ensuring seamless collaboration and engagement.

Provide strategic guidance to Foundation leads, equipping them with the necessary tools and resources to execute campaigns effectively across North and Central Texas campuses.

Oversee relationships with critical stakeholders and vendors, including software platforms, HRIS, Payroll, Marketing, Branding, Executive Communications, Legal and Compliance.

Design and execute comprehensive communication plans, encompassing content creation, digital and print collateral, email solicitations, impact reports, and campaign videos.

Oversee detailed campaign reporting, including progress dashboards, weekly and monthly giving reports, and recognition listings.

Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate and transparent donation recording and reporting.

Grateful Giving (30%)

Collaborate with the VP of Donor Engagement and Experience to design and execute an annual strategic plan aimed at engaging a robust pipeline of grateful patients to move through the donor giving cycle, with a focus on key performance indicators and other critical success metrics.

Enhance annual training and curriculum for physician cohorts and development team, ensuring comprehensive onboarding and continuous professional development.

Provide ongoing strategic program support to Grateful Giving team members within each Foundation throughout the year.

Plan and execute annual Doctors’ Day fundraising campaign strategy in partnership with Foundation leadership and assigned team members. Campaign includes overall strategy development, managing direct mail and email communications, capturing donor and physician stories, advancement of physician recognition and donor acknowledgement process, social media strategy, data tracking and dashboard maintenance and Doctors’ Day website updates.

Develop and automate effective one to many grateful patient qualification and engagement strategy to include direct mail and email outreach.

Conduct thorough analysis and year-over-year benchmarking of campaign performance and reporting.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Non-profit Studies, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.

Extensive experience in project management, relationship management, and donor solicitation, with a track record of successful outcomes.

Demonstrated ability to introduce and drive new initiatives, measure their effectiveness, and adapt strategies to maximize impact.

Comfort and proficiency in navigating complex environments and handling highly confidential and proprietary information with integrity.

Strong organizational skills with unwavering attention to detail, capable of operating with purpose, urgency, and accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

High level of initiative, ownership and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to excellence in all responsibilities.

Creative and resourceful approach to project execution, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Proactive relationship builder, adept at fostering collaboration, gaining alignment, and driving team success.

Adaptive learner, curious and open to evolving business needs and dynamic environments.

Advanced data analysis, interpretation, and visualization skills to inform strategic decisions.

Proficiency Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Experience in Power BI and Raiser’s Edge NXT is a plus.
