Legal Assistant – Insurance Defense

Adecco is partnering with a highly regarded law firm specializing in insurance defense litigation. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Assistant with experience in insurance defense to support our dynamic legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with seasoned attorneys and contribute to high-profile cases representing some of the nation’s largest companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management Support: Assist attorneys in managing all phases of insurance defense cases, including the preparation of legal documents, case files, and correspondence.
Document Preparation: Draft and format pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
File Management: Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances, managing the attorneys' calendars efficiently.
Client Communication: Maintain professional communication with clients, insurance adjusters, and other parties, providing case updates and information as needed.
Research Assistance: Conduct preliminary legal research and gather relevant information to support case strategies.
Trial Preparation: Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and preparing trial notebooks.
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including managing phone calls, handling mail, and processing expense reports.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in insurance defense or related litigation fields.
Education: Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred, but not required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with legal software and case management systems.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and other staff members to support the legal team effectively.
Confidentiality: High level of professionalism and respect for client confidentiality and ethical standards.

Pay Details: $45,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
