This high-profile role sits within the AT&T Business Product organization. You will be a critical member of the Business Convergence Solutions team that is responsible for guiding AT&T Business to a new approach for connectivity.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for all aspects of the technology strategy and build including assessing current landscape of hardware, firmware / OS, software platforms, OSS/BSS, competitive research, product fit assessments, E2E product management starting with product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life (lifecycle management) for complex communications products including underlays and overlays. go-to-market, financial and business case modeling, and readouts to senior leadership.

The role requires technology leadership and innovation, financial acumen, and cross-company collaboration.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, plan, develop, and evaluate new products or features by translating and documenting customer and technical requirements into final product design.

  • Analyze customer needs, identify priorities for new products or services and enhancements.

  • Conduct research and analysis on defined market, including addressable revenue potential, competitive analysis, definition of product functionality and existing customer segments, volumes, and revenue results.

  • Prepare and present requirements, plans, and business cases for new or modified products and services. Partner with business, technology and UX teams to design or modify products to meet market, budget, and schedule specifications.

  • Create product roadmaps, service guides, product documentation, results reports/analysis, and project plans. May be responsible for managing budgets, acquiring estimates and requests for funding through the capital process.

  • Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, sales support, and marketing as the product(s)move to production and distribution. Manage ongoing lifecycle product performance.

  • Works with Global Vendor Management and other product managers in forecasting business volumes, and corresponding CPE volumes and orders/reorders to support customer needs in a timely manner.

  • Defines and drives initiatives to grow revenue, margin, and work with the Global Connectivity Management, Technology Development, Contracting, Legal, Product Marketing and Business or Consumer Pricing Team to develop pricing strategies.

  • Work with 3rd party technology partners on new hardware, NoS, software and peripherals to support convergence of wireline & wireless networks as well as value-added products. Negotiate with vendors to improve the product cost structure, feature functionality and product support.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science

  • Master’s degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience in Systems / Network Engineering and Product Management

Experience:

  • Requires 15+ years’ experience

Skills:

  • Blend of technical and business skills to effectively solve business problems with the right technology in an agile manner

  • Understanding of wireless and wireline technologies

  • Ability and background in business and systems flow optimization

Our Lead Product Management & Develop, earn between $143,800 - $215,800. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
