Essential Duties

• Responsible for all equipment used in unloading and will report any mechanical failures immediately to the Supervisor.

• Must safely operate locomotives to spot granule, asphalt and glass mat caps.

• Operates all other equipment needed for proper unloading. Is responsible for proper storage of tools and other equipment used in unloading.

• Is responsible for closing windows at silos and covering of unloading pits.

• Responsible for housekeeping in all assigned work areas; other areas as designated by the supervisor.

• Immediately reports and takes steps to contain any hazardous materials spill following procedures outlined on the Hazardous Materials Spill Checklist.

• Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Logistics and Transportation supervisor.

Physical Demands

• Must be physically fit to make entry into silo tanks at various times to distribute granules for further unloading.
