Job Description:

Summary:

The Electronic Health Record (EHR) Health Information Management (HIM) Analyst I participates in the analysis, design, system configuration, testing, and support tasks at moderate levels of complexity. Applicable Epic certification must be current or obtained within 9 months of employment. This position reports to the EHR PFS Manager and works closely with other Application team members. Epic Systems electronic health record experience is helpful.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Work with all IT and Empower teams to identify appropriate solutions for various operational and technical needs

• Analyze Level 1 customer-reported problems to determine corrective action and provides timely feedback

• Ensure department documentation is at current levels

• Perform application and integrated testing for assigned module(s)

• Test build(s) in a specified testing environment and performs validation testing with end user(s)

• Participate in operational discovery sessions to identify the needs of the organization

• Support integration with third-party applications, when applicable.

• Provide regular status reports to management as required

• Attend meetings as required, and participates on committees as directed

• Participate in customer discussion offering suggestions and recommendations

  Required Skills/Abilities

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in health care preferred. Master's degree desired.

• Epic certification required or attained within 9 months of hire

• Previous experience in the build, training, and support of the Epic Systems electronic health record suite is preferred

• Maintain a positive image when dealing with deadlines and demanding, highly stressful situations

• Hyland/OnBase -OnBase Administrator

• Epic- HIM Coding and Abstracting, HIM Deficiency Tracking, and HIM Hospital Coding.
