American Heart Association Development Analyst in Dallas, Texas


The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Development Analyst within our National Center officer located in Dallas, TX. This role can be home officed.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and distributing comprehensive qualitative and quantitative insights garnered from analysis of campaign reports. Responsible for analyzing and identifying giving and participation trends in direct response and digital campaign events and activities. Responsible for providing input into enhancements or improvements to data analysis and trend identification.


  • Analyzes monthly appeals in digital channels and direct mail. Partners with the agency to report on financial results and increased donor acquisition/retention. Makes fact-based recommendations around what’s working

  • Weekly and quarterly updates to department leadership around revenue/costs/surplus versus previous year and goals. Provide fact-based insights around what is working and what needs work in order to deliver on financial commitments to the organization. Analyzes bench-marking studies coming in from conferences/downloads/white papers to advance our direct response fundraising capabilities and makes fact-based recommendations as a result of the findings and studies.

  • Leads annual budgeting process for the team with finance and the agencies


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 4 years of related experience

  • Advanced skills in Excel (including Pivot tables, formulas and Vlookups)

  • Financial reporting and expense reporting

  • Experience using Google Analytics for analysis and reporting trends

  • Experience in marketing analytics including direct response marketing campaigns

  • Analytical Understanding of direct mail and digital communications, interactive media, and customer insight analysis and trending

  • Experience or comprehensive understanding of non-profit environments

  • Ability to meet and build beneficial relationships with all levels of American Heart Association staff, vendors, and external stakeholders such as volunteers or representatives of partner organizations

  • Ability to build and adhere to both strategic and tactical plans

  • Ability to analyze and interpret relevant data and use interpretations in the development of campaign models

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct Response program experience

  • Education in data science or statistics
