The AWS Enterprise Support Learning & Development (L&D) Team is looking for a passionate, innovative, results-oriented Curriculum Developer to design and develop high quality training content for technical and non-technical learning programs for AWS Enterprise Support’s global organization. We provide training products and learning solutions that enable our talented Technical Account Managers (TAMs) to deliver services for Enterprise Support customers.

As a Curriculum Developer, you'll play a vital role in enabling our global training strategy through content creation. You'll build engaging training material that meets our high publication bar, ensuring our teams have the knowledge and skills to excel. Collaborating with critical stakeholders, you'll leverage your expertise to identify the most effective training modalities, solving problems with innovative solutions.

As a member of the worldwide Enterprise Support team, you will work to deeply understand the learner and facilitator experience. You will drive continuous improvement, build relationships, work quickly and efficiently, and maintain a high quality bar for your work.

The right candidate earns trust through outstanding performance, effective communication skills, and a strong record of delivering results on time. You will play a significant role in the training and development of a successful and effective global support team. The ideal candidate has a general understanding of cloud technology and a proven record of strong performance. Attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to balance multiple tasks are key to success.

This role focuses on instructional design and curriculum development. This is not a training delivery role- it does not involve classroom delivery of training. Candidates will have experience in designing, developing, and implementing a wide range of large-scale training solutions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Design and develop training materials and content, including creating instructor-led materials, online/e-learning modules, job aids, online tutorials, multimedia products (video, graphic, audio), and other training materials.

  • Apply adult learning principles and incorporate them into curriculum design and development.

  • Collaborate effectively with AWS Enterprise Support subject matter experts (SMEs), and managers on the AWS Enterprise Support team to provide consulting and develop technical training content as well as non-technical curriculums.

  • Design and develop learning solutions and programs applying adult learning principles and systematic instructional design to create learning content that best fits the needs of the learner (includes online, classroom, instructor-led training and blended learning content).

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new learning models and content design templates.

  • Leverage rapid, agile development techniques and processes to create content for a rapidly changing environment.

  • Develop exercises, tutorials, job aids, assessments, and other methods of learning including social or connected learning strategies, and multimedia based assets.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Experience using e-learning software (Articulate, Captivate, or similar), Cornerstone LMS (or similar)

  • Experience using video editing tools (Final Cut, Adobe Premier, After Effects, Camtasia or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of managing stakeholders in cross-functional project experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

  • Familiarity with SCORM, online learning, learning technology, instructional, graphic, and/or web design or development skills

  • Experience developing and supporting training for technical/IT and account management related positions

  • Working understanding of web and media design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, HTML, CSS)

  • Experience working with and integrating the use of knowledge bases and online reference for learning and performance support

  • Experience using data collection, research, and analysis to evaluate project outcomes and improve individual and organizational performance

  • Experience with technical customer service organizations

  • Portfolio and/or eLearning sample are required at interview
