Clinical Diet II Technician - PRN

We’re looking for qualified Diet Techs to join our Texas Health family. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln. TX 75231

Work hours: PRN as needed, 6:00 am -2:30 pm, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, or 11 am – 7:00 pm. Must be able to work 1-2 weekends a month.

Here’s What You Need

  • Associate's Degree Food & Nutrition or related field Req

  • Bachelor's Degree Food & Nutrition or related field Pref

  • 6 Months customer service or nutrition related experience Req

  • DTR - Dietetic Technician, Registered Upon Hire Req

What You Will Do

  • Perform nutrition care services to age-appropriate patients under the supervision of an RD.

  • Assist the RD with data collection and other activities to contribute to nutrition assessment of patients. Use electronic information management tools including the electronic health records, web-based applications and food service database systems.

  • Performs all aspects of Infant Formula Room, including calculating infant formulations, formula preparation, inventory, and delivery while adhering to policies and procedures.

  • Follows proper safety and sanitation procedures. Follows infection control policies.

  • Participates in quality assurance and process improvement activities to document outcomes of services; compliance with regulations, policies and procedures; conducts peer audits for quality; monitors and address customer satisfaction.

  • Provides direct support to dietitians and food service in care of patient including meal selections and patient education, as appropriate.

  • Communicates effectively with all team members, providing information by telephone, in written form, email or in person.

  • Demonstrates effective teamwork and communication with peers, and internal and external customers.

  • Develops relationship with food service staff and has knowledge of departmental operations.

  • Assists dietitian in training of employees. Provide nutrition education to staff as assigned
