Description We are offering an opportunity in Dallas, Texas for an Accounts Payable Specialist. This role is based in the accounting industry and will be responsible for managing full cycle accounts payable in a fast-paced environment. This position is a short-term contract employment opportunity and will require proficiency in a variety of accounting software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Handle full cycle accounts payable tasks efficiently

• Utilize Quickbooks online and Bills.com for various accounting functions

• Gain a working knowledge of inventory and sales tax filings across multiple states with Tax Jar

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems, Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Microsoft Excel

• Conduct data entry tasks and manage accounts payable (AP)

• Oversee check processing and manage any discrepancies

• Maintain and update accounting records and files

• Analyze transactions and prepare reports

• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements

• Maintain confidentiality of organizational information. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC)

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400

• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in Check Processing

• Proficient in Data Entry

• Ability to resolve Discrepancies

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
