Topgolf Network Infrastructure Architect in Dallas Office, Texas
Overview
The purpose of the Infrastructure Architect role is apply a broad range of infrastructure expertise and experience to design, build, technology and business infrastructure. This role will partner closely with stakeholders to support new applications and sites, manage capacity, and drive opportunities for new technologies, cost savings, and operational simplicity. The Architect role is familiar with multiple aspects of infrastructure, a functional lead, and tasked with complex work that will keep you engaged and challenged. This individual will be expected to mentor more junior team members.
Responsibilities
Architect network solutions globally
Plan, build and deploy core network infrastructure for applications, system management, audio/video, server virtualization and hyperconverged infrastructure.
Through close partnerships with stakeholders, vendors, and partners, maintain technology solutions that continuously lower our expenses and/or increase our service offerings (new sites, scalability, reliability, etc.)
Promote system reliability and efficiency by implementing improved monitoring of performance degradation throughout the environment
Act as a technology evangelist and authority within network infrastructure domain
Advise and mentor junior team members and provide day-to-day task management
Interview new team member candidates
Plan and lead maintenance window activities
Participate in an on-call rotation
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (or related field) or equivalent experience
12+ years Network Infrastructure Engineering/Management
10+ years Solid experience in high-availability networking including firewalls, switches, routers, wireless and switch-level commands
Solid experience using current versions of VMware products including ESXi, vCenter, Horizon, vROps
Solid experience with infrastructure management systems
Solid experience with cloud platforms including AWS and Azure
Strong understanding of networking as it pertains to products above
Analytical thinking and problem solving
Ability to knowledge transfer
Ability to mentor junior associates
Time management skills
Documentation and diagraming
15% As needed travel to data center and venues
