Topgolf Director, International Real Estate Development in Dallas Office, Texas
Overview
The Director of International Development will support the real estate development teams of Topgolf Joint Venture and Franchise Development partners with the delivery of complex, large-scale, ground-up commercial real estate projects. The Director will report to the Senior Director of International Franchise Development and will coordinate the development of a multi-year pipeline of new venues in contracted territories across the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific regions.
Responsibilities
Manage the due diligence, architectural design, entitlements, and construction processes with the real estate development teams of JV and Franchise Development partners for a robust pipeline of 10-20 complex, ground-up, commercial real estate development projects
Collaborate with internal business leaders from the Franchise, Legal, Finance, Procurement, Technology, Construction and Operations departments to ensure business and real estate development strategies and goals are implemented and achieved
Provide strong leadership in managing both internal and external business stakeholders to effectively anticipate and mitigate business/project risk exposures
Coordinate and develop strong relationships with JV and Franchise Development partners and their external contractors including municipal/governmental leaders, consultants, developers, land owners, and lenders
Collaborate with internal franchise and real estate team members to develop the real estate pipeline strategies required to deliver an annual pipeline of projects that meet the franchise growth expectations of a publicly-traded company
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Construction, Finance, Business Administration required
Master’s Degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Construction, Finance, Business Administration preferred
10+ years In the engineering, construction, or commercial real estate industries
7+ years Leading project teams towards the successful delivery of large-scale commercial real estate development projects including project budget and schedule responsibility
5+ years Leading the development implementation to accomplish company growth goals
5+ years Of experience in real estate development contract negotiatons
5+ years Of international commercial real estate development experience
Strong leadership, persuasion, communication and time management skills
Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with company executives and other business leaders
Ability to reprioritize critical business/development needs on a frequent basis
Negotiating project/business-related contract terms
Presenting in front of large groups or public forums
Knowledge of architecture, engineering, construction, real estate, finance and legal fields of business
Knowledge of international franchise development and the global practices of commercial real estate
Must have high degree of grit, self-motivation, persistence, energy, and enthusiasm
Travel up to 60% - Travel throughout the the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific regions.
