Topgolf Audio Visual (AV) Architect in Dallas Office, Texas
Overview
The purpose of the Audio/Visual (AV) Architect role is to apply a broad range of expertise and experience to design and build amazing AV solutions for Topgolf. This role will partner closely with stakeholders to support new locations, manage existing locations, and drive opportunities for new technology, cost savings, and operational simplicity. The Architect role is familiar with multiple aspects of AV, a functional lead, and tasked with complex work that will keep them engaged and challenged. This individual will be expected to mentor junior team members, share their knowledge, and document/document/document.
Responsibilities
Plan, build and deploy core audio visual solutions utilizing networking, application, system management, audio/video, server virtualization and hyperconverged infrastructures
Through close partnerships with stakeholders, vendors, and partners, maintain AV solutions that continuously lower our expenses and/or increase our service offerings (new sites, scalability, reliability, etc)
Act as an evangelist and authority within audio visual domain
Promote AV system reliability and efficiency by implementing improved monitoring of performance degradation throughout the environment
Advise and mentor junior team members and in some cases provide day-to-day task management
Participate in an on-call rotation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Design Engineering or Information Systems, required
Certified Technology Specialist Certification, Design (CTS-D) preferred
12+ years Planning, design, implementation of audio, visual and control solutions
12+ years Solid understanding of enterprise audio visual distribution, protocols, and data formats
12+ years Solid experience in enterprise AV environments with presentation technology, video walls, and other relevant entertainment-based technologies
10+ years Experience in a technology or construction field
5+ years Experience managing large scale digital signage implementations
Strong collaboration skills
Ability to read schematics and communicate design intent
Ability to create detailed documentation and diagrams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to mentor junior playmakers
Time management skills
Travel up to 20% as needed to venues.
