The Financial Sponsor Coverage (FSC) group is part of our investment bank. Led by a group of experienced bankers, our dedicated coverage team understands the needs of private equity funds and sponsor backed companies. From acquisition and subscription financings to portfolio company sales, our team has extensive experience with the financing and advisory needs attendant to private equity ownership. Partnering with our industry and product experts, our dynamic and knowledgeable FSC team actively covers an extensive range of financial sponsors and private equity firms.

The Financial Sponsor Coverage team is looking for a dedicated individual who wants to learn and grow within the sponsor ecosystem. In this role they will be engaging all verticals, product groups and functions within the bank and therefore, be very visible internally. In addition, the team is looking for individuals who want to be part of something larger and want to, over time, expand into a role that includes client facing responsibilities.
Conducting comprehensive and in-depth private equity fund, company and industry research
Preparing PowerPoint presentations and other materials for internal and external use
Keeping Salesforce up to date for the FSC team
Participating in due diligence sessions, assisting in guiding transactions through credit approval, including cooperating with underwriters and portfolio managers
Playing a key role supporting origination, opportunity evaluation and deal execution, working on a broad scope of assignments and products across various industries
Working closely with senior bankers in day-to-day financial sponsor coverage and expected to make an immediate contribution

Exceptional credit skills with formal training from a bank, credit fund, private equity firm or nationally recognized credit training program
Familiarity with leveraged finance credit products
Knowledge of documentation requirements
Ability to identify risk factors and potential mitigates
Ability to monitor and engage on multiple transactions at one time
Ability to work collaboratively with internal partners
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Ability to prioritize and organize to meet multiple conflicting deadlines
Ability to identify trends and implement process changes to improve both internal and external customer experience
Exceptional writing, interpersonal and communication skills
Extraordinary levels of motivation and initiative
Effective team players who want to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and build working relationships across the organization
Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint in order to produce reports, memos, and presentations
