We are seeking an Operations Director that is passionate about ensuring field operational needs are met for students and staff, as well as leading the Operations Team to best serve our students. Our Operations Director plays a very important role that ensures the safety and supply needs are met for the program so that these needs do not interrupt the therapeutic growth of our students.
The Operations Director, under the direction of the Executive Director, is to have a long-term mindset, creating systems that are efficient and support FL’s long-term sustainability. Specific outcomes of the Operations Director include managing facilities and equipment, managing medical and medication processes, and understanding the safety processes and how those relate to accreditations. This position will help to create systems for operations and logistics that are efficient and can improve customer service while reducing cost.
The Program Director will be responsible to:
Lead Operations Team in a way that builds and maintains culture that drives stability and retention
Select, train, develop and grow Operations Team
Build upon and optimize systems and processes
Create efficient logistics systems that support the best student treatment outcomes
Oversee fleet management (maintenance, repair, availability, and inventory) for all Departments within FLW
Ensure gear and food supplies are of quality and to students and staff timely and meet budget
Oversee facility to ensure programming offices and operations area are organized and presentable
Supervise Medical and Medication Management System
Communicate Department status with Executive Director and leadership team, collaborating in ongoing basis.

Have experience with operations and logistics for similar programs, preferably serving adolescents

Requirements:
Must be at least 25 years old.
Possess a BS/BA degree in related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the adventure or outdoor field with at-risk youth, or comparable experience.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a management role including supervision of employees and budget management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Must pass a Background Criminal Investigation and post hire physical.
Must hold a valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
Ability to self-transport when the need arises.
Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds for extended durations.
Ability to support field operations and safety in four-season conditions.
Must possess a current first aid and CPR certification; Certified Wilderness First Responder preferred.
