Naval Sea Systems Command ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in Dahlgren, Virginia

Summary You will serve as an Administrative/Technology Specialist in the Policy and Self-Assessment Branch of NAVSURFWARCENDLD. The NT-5 salary range shown above represents all positions within the band (GS-13/14 equivalent), including high-grade positions. This is not a high-grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to GS-13 Step 10 (currently $153,354). Responsibilities You will be responsible for the design, development, and facilitation of Simplified Acquisition Program (SAP) training session for new hire employees. You will research training methods suitable for skill development. You will identify training skills to be addressed and evaluate the employees after each training session. You will present training and facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods. You will support the development and implementation of lifecycle acquisition and procurement services. You will use regulations, policies, guidance and legal resources to ensure support and documentation is accurately developed. You will develop and provide guidance, information and training, as well as provide briefings for program participants, command management as leadership. You will assist customers with requirements definition; advise on acquisition strategies and policies and help with the development and quality of required acquisition documentation. You will be responsible for the development, maintenance and configuration control of the acquisition best practices and other policy documents relating to acquisition. You will support the Contract File Review team in conducting file reviews. You will conduct the close-out of contracts and support Simplified Acquisition Team during peak times. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications FOR NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience leading or advising others in the development of contracting documents, (e.g., statements of work, contracting packages, evaluation of proposals) according to the Federal Acquisition Regulations, as related to multiple complex contracts. Education Additional Information Possible SALARY CAP: This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14. The salary range shown in the announcement represents all of the positions within the band, including GS-14 equivalent (high-grade) positions. This is not a high-grade position. Therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $153,354). This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
