Job Description:

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to complete projects related to hydrology and water resources research.

  • Manage and conduct field and laboratory work, utilizing new techniques and tools for project tasks.

  • Review design reports, plans, research proposals, and manuscripts, especially those involving innovative data handling techniques.

  • Train and instruct others in the use of specialized equipment, research methodologies, and new technologies.

  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies, software programs, and techniques in the field of hydrology.

  • Ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety standards and other relevant institutional and governmental regulations.

Expected Salary:

$44,700 annually.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in hydrology, irrigation, and soil and water sampling methods.

  • Ability to learn and apply new skills, operate and maintain hydrologic instrumentation, and collect, handle, and summarize data.

  • Proficiency in using relevant software packages, conducting literature reviews, coordinating research teams, and contributing to research proposals and manuscripts.

  • Ability to instruct others on equipment use and contribute to design and creation of websites.
